Bulacan Kuyas snapped a two-game skid with a 102-96 win over the Pasig Pirates on Tuesday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup at the Batangas State University gym.
James Martinez and Jason Melano provided the offensive punch with 21 and 20 points as the Ceasar Wongchuking-owned Kuyas notched their 12th victory against eight defeats. The duo also combined for 11 rebounds.
Jay-R Taganas also stepped up for the Kuyas with 12 points and eight boards, while Jerick Cañada chipped in nine points, three rebounds and 13 assists.
The Pirates plummeted to their 17th loss against three wins.
Meanwhile, the Batangas City Athletics downed the Imus Bandera, 96-93, for their 12th win in 20 matches.
