BONG IN MMFF 2019: Less than two months as a free man, former Senator Ramon “Bong’’ Revilla, Jr. says he’s already eyeing a slot, not just in the Senate, but also in the roster of MMFF 2019.
During a thanksgiving luncheon hosted by Lily Monteverde and Marichu Maceda, Bong announced that he will certainly field an entry to the annual December festival of films.
It will most likely be an action-comedy.
He said he’s considering Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach as leading lady, although nothing is certain.

MISSING YOU: Sen. Bong admitted he missed doing movies and TV programs, including and most especially movie people.
“Throughout my detention, I have come to realize that my real friends are in showbiz, not in politics,” he stated.
He added it’s quite unfair that the public often regard people from showbiz as plastic, fake or unreal.
“There are more plastic people in politics than there are in show business,’’ he said. Trying to hold back personal grudges, he said he’s following his father’s advice to simply forgive those who sent him to jail.
True enough, the thanksgiving lunch, held at Gloria Maris in Greenhills, was attended by friends who remained sympathetic to the beleaguered senator once linked to the PDAF scandal.
