Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has clarified that Malasakit Centers are open to every Filipino and they don’t need any endorsement of a politician or anybody else to avail themselves of medical assistance from these centers.
Go made the statement over a picture posted in social media of fake Malasakit Assistance ID Cards. The picture of the supposed ID card was posted in the Twitter account of a known critic of the Duterte administration.
Go stressed that Malasakit Centers are operated by the government and sustained by public funds, thus, nobody has the right to lay claim to it as their own personal project.
Pera po ng tao iyan, ibinabalik lang sa inyo sa pamamagitan ng serbisyong tama at walang pinipili,” Go said in a separate statement posted on his Facebook page.
