The Table Tennis Association of North District (TATAND)-Joola captured the men’s and women’s team titles in the recent 2019 Philippine National Police (PNP) Cup National Invitational Table Tennis Championships held at the PNP Gymnasium in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
TATAND-Joola, composed of ex-national player Julius Esposo, John Russel Misal, Charlie Lim and Philip Uy, blasted Hua Ching Mandaue of Bill Yap, Handel Yap, Zoren Mendiola, Val Stephen Jaca and Francis Bendebel, 3-2, to win the men’s team plum.
University of Perpetual Help DALTA System and TATAND Philippine Army finished tied for third in the tournament sanctioned by the Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP) and Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
Keith Rhynne Cruz and Kaela Aguilar of TATAND-Joola dominated TATAND’s Crisanta Abas and Lovely Gabisay, 3-2, to win the women’s title of the tournament supported by the San Miguel Corporation (SMC), PNP, PSSLAI, AIMM Builder and Construction Supply.
College of Saint Benilde and UC-PNP ALTRUIST settled for third.
