Cool weather with light rains will prevail this weekend as the northeast monsoon or “amihan” continues to affect the whole country, the State weather bureau said Friday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said no tropical cyclone is expected to form and enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next three days.
Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
PAGASA has raised a gale warning over the seaboards of Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, Cagayan, and Ilocos Norte due to the surge of the northeast monsoon.
The State weather bureau warned fishermen and small vessels not to venture into the coastal waters of areas where the gale warning was raised. (Alexandria Dennise San Juan)
