A man, who was included in the village drug watchlist, was gunned down Tuesday by four armed men inside his residence in Sampaloc, Manila.
Police said the victim, Jason Abalos, 39, florist and resident of Algeciras Street in Sampaloc, Manila, died on the spot from gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
Case investigator PO3 Charles John Duran of Manila Police District (MPD) homicide section, said the victim was included in the drug watchlist of Barangay 450, Zone 45, Sampaloc.
According to Betty Montes, 77, victim’s neighbor, she was awakened by several gunshots outside their house at around 12:55 a.m. on Algeciras Street in Sampaloc on Feb. 5.
Montes told police that she saw four armed men wearing facemasks coming from the victim’s house and board two motorcycles parked outside.
Police recovered from the crime scene three sachets of suspected shabu and one deformed slug from a .45-caliber pistol. (Erma Edera)
