The Makati Super Crunch continued their dominance with a 96-87 win against the Navotas Clutch Wednesday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup at the Navotas Sports Complex.
Six players scored in double figures for the Super Crunch, who extended their winning run to 12 games to notch their 18th win in 22 games and tie with the Manila Stars at second in the North Division.
Jeckster Apinan sizzled for Makati with 20 points and 13 rebounds while Cedric Abriza and Joseph Sedurifa added 15 points each. Rudy Lingganay had 11 points, John Rey Villanueva finished with 13 points and Mark Isip chipped in 10 points.
Meanwhile, the Quezon City Capitals edged the Basilan Steel, 74-68, to even their win-loss record to 10-10 also in the North Division.
Joco Tayongtong paced the Capitals with 18 points while Jay Collado, Hesed Gabo and Alwyn Alday combined for 36 points.
Navotas fell to 10-12 while Basilan skidded to 6-16.
