Just like in the movies, Manila Mayor Joseph E. Estrada punched a man during a parade last Chinese New Year in Binondo, Manila after he leaped and grabbed his hand, causing him to almost fall on his face.
Estrada explained that the incident was just an “outburst of anger.”
In a video that circulated online, Estrada was seen punching a man while he was on board a truck and giving away “ang pao” or red envelopes on Feb. 5.
The former President said in a statement released three days after the incident that the man leaped and grabbed his hand.
This caused him to almost fall on his face.
The ang pao, according to Estrada, contained P20 and P50 bills.
Estrada apologized after a senior citizen reportedly tumbled due to the commotion.
(Ria Fernandez)
