A 74-year-old woman died after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in Paranaque City, Sunday night.
The victim, Melagros Centino, a resident of Sta. Ana Drive, Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City, succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the Parañaque Doctors Hospital.
The driver of the motorcycle identified as Mico Salcedo, 21, and his backrider, Agnes Salcedo, 50, both residents of Zone 1, Lower Sta. Ana, Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City, also sustained severe body injuries during the accident.
Investigation showed that the incident occurred at around 7:05 p.m. at Sta. Ana Drive, Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City.
Police said the victim was crossing the road when the Honda XRM motorcycle without plate number driven by Salcedo hit Centino.
The driver and his backrider were brought to the Commcare Clinic while the victim was brought to the hospital where she later died.
The driver will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, according to police. (Dhel Nazario)
