Malacañang said yesterday President Duterte has ordered the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to train more construction workers to address the bottleneck in the administration’s “Build, Build, Build” program.
Duterte admitted that there is a slight delay in the government’s ambitious infrastructure program due to the country’s lack of skilled workers.
According to presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo, Duterte asked TESDA chief Isidro Lapeña to do something about the problem.
“Kasi, we are lacking in experts in… like in carpentry, in welding, iyong mga technical, kulang eh.
“In other words, we are doing something about it. That is the response,” he added. (Argyll Geducos)
