A man and his wife were shot dead in front of their 11-year-old daughter in their house in Barangay
177, Camarin, Caloocan City Thursday.
Police identified the victims as Albine Nervar, 40, tricycle driver; and Nemia Nervar, 40, vendor.
Senior Supt. Restituto Arcangel, Caloocan police chief, said the gunman, who remains at-large, may also be involved in the shooting of Nemia’s suspected partner in November 2018.
The 11-year-old witness told the police that she was playing with her friends outside their house before
the incident.
Her two siblings, both of legal age, were not in the house when the incident occurred, said Insp. Joe Mar Ronquillo, Caloocan police Station Investigation Unit chief.
A man, wearing a green long-sleeved shirt, black pants, black cap, and carrying a black sling bag, bought a stick of cigarette from their store and walked away, investigation showed.
A few minutes later, the man returned, lit his cigarette, entered their house, and shot the two victims, killing them instantly. The gunman fled on foot.
Arcangel said they have already identified the gunman and will be filing murder charges against him next week.
Investigation is ongoing. (Minka Klaudia S. Tiangco)
