BATAAN – Former Special Assistant to the President and aspiring senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go reiterated Saturday that just like President Duterte, he is for gender equality and that he would be helping launch programs for the benefit of women and those in the LGBT sector.
“Katulad ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, I am for equality. Ang mga babae at mga LGBT po ay lehitimong bahagi ng ating mga pamilya at lipunan kaya dapat pong bigyan sila ng karampatang respeto at suporta sa pamamagitan ng mga makabuluhang programa,” Go stated at the 22nd anniversary of the Kababaihan ng Bataan tungo sa Kaunlaran.
Go said there is no gender discrimination in Davao City, where he worked for more than 20 years alongside Duterte, a former Davao City mayor.
In full effect po ‘yun doon kasi ayaw ni Boss (Duterte) sa discrimination,” Go said.
Go expressed his desire to help implement throughout the nation legal measures that provide women and LGBTs further protection from discrimination and harassment.
