Terrence Romeo, Roger Pogoy, Jayson Castro, and Stanley Pringle are among the players selected to complete the rosters of both North and South teams in the coming PBA All-Star game.
Romeo and Pogoy have been picked as part of the South All-Stars along with Chris Ross, Baser Amer, PJ Simon, Jio Jalalon, John Paul Erram, and Joe Devance.
Meanwhile, Castro and Pringle will be joined in the North All-Stars by Alex Cabagnot, Gabe Norwood, Arwind Santos, Troy Rosario, Marc Pingris, and Chris Banchero.
All of the reserve players were handpicked by the 12 PBA coaches.
Voted by fans to start for the South team are June Mar Fajardo, Greg Slaughter, James Yap, Mark Barroca, and Scottie Thompson.
For the North team the starters are Calvin Abueva, Japeth Aguilar, Paul Lee, LA Tenorio, and Marcio Lassiter.
The top two teams in the season-opening Philippine Cup by March 10 will coach in the All-Star game set March 29 in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
The coach of the top seeded team gets to call the shots for the North All-Star.
Meanwhile, the PBA handed Pringle a one-game suspension and fined R75,000 for hitting Columbian’s Jay-R Reyes during a tune-up held last week.
Pringle was given the sanction after being summoned by Commissioner Willie Marcial to explain his side in the incident that occurred at NorthPort’s practice facility at Greenmeadows.
