Seven national athletes flew to Singapore Friday morning to represent the Philippines in the STEP Asian Youth Sports Leaders Camp.
The week-long event is organized by the Singapore OLympic Foundation, Sports Singapore and Temasek Foundation International.
The activity aims to engage 120 young athletes from all over Asia for leadership training and values inculcation to build closer ties among Asian youth leaders.
Among the Filipino athletes tapped to participate in the event are boxer Eumir Felix Marcial, muay thai’s Islay Erika Bomogao, sepak takraw’s Abigail Sinogbuhan, basketball’s Jack Danielle Animan, Jamaila Ramos of Pencak Silat and Horner De Vera of Tournament Bridge.
Katrina Gargoles of the Philippine Olympic Committee secretariat is delegation head.
