A fake doctor was arrested Thursday afternoon after one of his patients complained about a botched breast augmentation procedure he performed four years ago.
Police Major Wilfredo Sangel, chief of the Pasay police investigation section, said the suspect, Crisanto Ordono, 34, a resident of Zapote, Las Piñas City, was arrested during an entrapment operation inside a hotel room in Pasay City at around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The complainant identified only as alias “Karen”, 37, said she paid Ordono a total of P150,000 for the whole breast augmentation procedure that involved 10 operations.
Karen said he paid Ordono P4,000 to P10,000 for every session held in a hotel room.
According to her, she met Ordono in 2015 through a friend who also undergone the same procedure.
On March 6, she noticed blood clots in her breasts.
She asked Ordono to remove the oil silicone he injected into her breasts. The suspect agreed to do it free of charge, but he offered her another operation, a buttocks enhancement for P10,000.
Karen later went to the Professional Regulation Commission to confirm if he is a licensed doctor. There, she found that Ordono is a not a real medical doctor, prompting her to report him to the Pasay City Police.
As part of the sting, she agreed to meet with Ordono in a hotel room in Pasay City, which led to his arrest.
Police also arrested Ordono’s boyfriend, Adrian Gorbin, for being accessory to the crime.
According to the police, Gorbin is Ordono’s alleged cohort in his illegal activities.
Police said Ordono will be charged with cases of estafa and violation of Republic Act 2382 or the Medical Act of 1959. (Michelle Guillang)
