About P200,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized from five suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South, Navotas City last Saturday.
Police identified the suspects as Emmanuel Magos, alias “Tawe,” 27; Reymar Velasco, alias “Tano,” 26; John Cedrick Largo, 18; Regie Cuevas, 18; and a 17-year-old boy.
Investigators confirmed that Magos and Velasco are members of the Bandamme Armed Group, a drug-peddling and gun-for-hire syndicate operating in Caloocan City, Malabon City, Navotas, and Valenzuela City.
Joint elements of the Northern Police District Special Operations Unit and the Navotas police conducted a buy-bust for firearm on Anthorium St. at around 2 p.m.
The suspects were arrested after a police poseur-buyer successfully bought a caliber 9 mm revolver and five ammunition worth P6,000 from them.
Seven sachets of shabu weighing 54 grams and worth about P200,000 were recovered from the suspects, along with the firearm and marked money.
The seized illegal drugs were brought to the NPD Crime Laboratory Office in Valenzuela for laboratory examination.
The suspects, who are now under police custody, will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
