Far Eastern University isn’t invincible after all.
The Ateneo Eagles proved that by halting the Tamaraws’ seven-game winning run via a thrilling and vengeful 31-29, 22-25, 25-23, 26-24 decision yesterday to bolster its Final Four bid in UAAP men’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.
Ron Medalla and Tony Koyfman led the Eagles’ ferocious attack to send the Tamaraws crashing back to earth.
Medalla and Koyfman merged for 36 attacks and finished with 32 and 21 points respectively as Ateneo improved to 5-3.
With the loss, FEU dropped into a share of the lead with National University, which swept Adamson, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.
