A few days before his 74th birth anniversary, President Duterte admitted that he was feeling tired and looking forward to the end of his presidency in 2022.
The President, musing about his desire to rest after years of public service, said he was ready to fight it out with those involved in illegal drugs.
“Ako matanda na. Ngayong buwan na ito mag 74 na ako. P***** i** mo kasing pagod na ako sa inyo,” he said during the PDP-Laban campaign rally in Marikina City Wednesday.
“Naghahanap lang ako ng lusot. Ke magbarilan tayo o kaya – p***** i** ‘wag ninyo akong… Naghahanap lang ako talaga ng lusot na para makapagpahinga na. Pagod na rin ako kaya do not f*** with me,” he said.
Duterte will mark his 74th birth anniversary on March 28.
The President renewed his kill threat against those involved in the illegal drug trade regardless of their power and status.
Unfazed by criticisms from rights groups here and abroad for alleged abuses in the drug war, Duterte maintained that he would not allow drug traffickers and their protectors to destroy the nation.
“If you destroy my country and you force my children to eat drugs, t*** i** I will kill you,” he said. “Ke ma police general ka, ke ma mayor ka, ke ma gobernador ka, congressman ka, yayariin kita sa totoo lang,” he added.
Duterte also said he could not care less if he would be sued in court by human rights groups. “Go ahead idemanda ninyo si Duterte,” he said. (Genalyn Kabiling)
