The low pressure area, which was formerly tropical depression “Chedeng,” left the Philippine Area of Responsibility yesterday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, the ridge of high pressure area, an anti-cyclone system, will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The public is advised to be alert against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the ridge of HPA will bring fair weather with only partly cloudy skies over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA continues to advise those with small sea craft not to set sail into the eastern coast of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao due to big waves generated by the northeasterly winds.
The rest of the country will only have slight to moderate seas. (Ellalyn V. Ruiz)
