Earl just graduated earlier that afternoon from John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) in Iloilo City. He and his family were on their way home to Belison town when the deadly incident occurred.
The Omanios were among the 11 passengers riding a Ceres bus owned by Vallacar Transit Inc. that fell more than 50 feet from a winding road in Igbucagay village before 10 p.m. of Friday night.
The bus was coming from Iloilo City and was on its way to the town of San Jose de Buenavista, the provincial capital of Antique.
Another identified fatality was Evangelyn Chicano of San Jose town.
Based on initial investigation, the driver, Ramon Abellar, allegedly was driving too fast along the curvy and uphill road when he lost control and that led to the bus going straight to the ravine. (Tara Yap)
