Gatchalian endorses 6 reelectionist senators

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian endorsed six out of seven reelectionist senators during his 45th birth anniversary celebration at the Valenzuela City People’s Park last Saturday.

They are JV Ejercito, Cynthia Villar, Nancy Binay, Koko Pimentel, Sonny Angara, and Grace Poe.

Only Sen. Bam Aquino was not endorsed by Gatchalian.

The six reelectionist senators held their campaign rally in Valenzuala after Gatchalian announced his endorsement.

Gatchalian also endorsed the Senate bid of former Sen. Lito Lapid as both of them are partymates at the Nationalist People’s Coalition.

Gatchalian said he has full confidence on the capabilities of those he endorsed. He said he was able to work with them who he called his “personal friends.”

“Buo ang kumpiyansa ko sa kanila na maglilingkod sila ng mabuti, at higit sa lahat, may integridad,” he said.

For his birth anniversary wish, Gatchalian hopes that Filipinos will scrutinize the candidates before casting their votes and elect the “right” leaders during the elections next month.

“Maraming bumoboto nalang, pero hindi pinagaaralan ang kanilang boto,” Gatchalian lamented. “Ang wish ko ay pag-aralan ng ating mga kababayan ang kanilang boto, especially sa local, dahil ito ay directly nakaka-impact sa kanilang buhay,” he added. (Minka Tiangco)
