Two suspected “Akyat Bahay Gang” members were killed in a shootout with policemen in Quezon City yesterday.
Quezon City Police District director Police Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr. described the slain suspects, who have yet to be identified, in their early 30s.
One of them was wearing white-striped long sleeves and a brown jersey shorts. He had a “Luningning” tattoo on his right chest.
The other was wearing a black hooded jacket, a black and white T-shirt, and short pants.
A police report showed that at around 1:17 a.m., two men suspiciously roaming around Jonaville Subdivision in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches were reported to the authorities.
Responding policemen arrived in the area and saw the duo matching the description in the report.
They approached the suspects who drew their guns and fired at the lawmen.
Police returned fired and killed the suspects.
Recovered from the suspects were two caliber .38 revolvers, four sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, two backpacks containing a vault cutter, clothes, a bonnet, hammer, and a steel saw.
