AMA Online Education snapped a three-game skid with a 122-119 double overtime win over Batangas-Emilio Aguinaldo College in the PBA D-League at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Joshua Munzon fired 38 points while Franky Johnson scored the team’s final six points, including a go-ahead layup with 30.1 seconds left in the second extra period, to help AMA end its slump.
The Titans improved to 2-3 for a temporary share of sixth place with Go for Gold-St. Benilde which was playing Che’Lu Bar & Grill at presstime.
In the second game, Go for Gold-St. Benilde frustrated Che’Lu Bar & Grill, 101-92, and moved to an even 3-3 record in the Aspirants Group. Che’Lu fell to 3-2, allowing idle Petron-Letran (4-2) to climb into fourth spot in the group. (Jonas Terrado)
