COTABATO CITY – Presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte aired skepticism over a published expose on the alleged plot to oust her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, saying that the media persons and entity linked to the move should be given the “benefit of the doubt.”
After observing the Holy Week, the young Duterte went back to the Hugpong ng Pagbabago senatorial campaign operations and granted an interview to the media here.
The local executive said it would be best for the person who made the expose to identify the source of his claim that media organizations are involved in the plot to overthrow the Duterte administration. “Mas maganda siguro kung lalabas ang source, kung sino ang source ng gumawa ng matrix,” she said.
In a press conference, the presidential spokesman said Malacañang has the same information that he was supposed to reveal to the Palace press a day before it was published.
The national daily that published the alleged oust Duterte story, also laid out a supposed matrix illustraining the alleged flow of adverse news stories that are fed to the media in order to fuel public discontent over the Duterte administration.
It also linked newspaper columnist Ellen Tordesillas to a certain “Bikoy”, the man behind the series of video exposes against members and close associates of the Duterte family being linked to illegal drugs. (Ben Rosario)
