The Commission on Elections has released an instructional video on their social media platforms on how to vote in the May 13 mid-term elections.
Voters should first find their names and precinct and sequence number in the displayed Election Day computerized voters’ list before approaching the Electoral Board.
Once the official ballot is given by the EB, voters should inspect it to ensure that it is clean and free from markings. Should there be any damage or marking found on the ballot, it must be returned to the EB and marked spoiled.
Voters should then accomplish their ballots with a special marking pen provided by the EB. Voters must fully shade the ovals beside the names of the candidates who they want to vote for.
After casting their votes, one should cover their ballot with the ballot secrecy folder while inserting it in the slot in the vote counting machine.
The VCM should issue a voter’s receipt. Voters should check if their ballot was read correctly by the machine and the receipt should be left in a box provided in the voting precinct.
