A CABLE TV provider in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte is facing several lawsuits for allegedly airing a pirated copy of “Avengers: Endgame.”
The complaint stemmed from subscribers of Orient Cable who attested to seeing the film.
Some took photos as evidence.
Many of them noted the copy of the film shown seemed to have been illegally copied citing poor quality.
The Philippine News Agency noted that Orient Cable aired the Marvel film only a day after its premiere on April 24.
Local movie house Teatro de Dapitan, which was authorized to screen the film, filed a complaint to the local police.
“Avengers: Endgame” is the culmination of Marvel’s “Infinity Saga” which includes 22 films released in a span of 11 years.
It was reported the movie has already earned an estimated $1.2 billion worldwide. (RAMPADOR ALINDOG)
