Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana will be out for a few days to rest over some health issues.
Director Arsenio Andolong, spokesman of the Department of National Defense, said Lorenzana checked into the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City last Monday.
“He checked into the VMMC for an issue involving his vision,” said Andolong.
The official said that Lorenzana was then advised to undergo a complete executive check up.
Lorenzana confirmed that he indeed sought for medical attention.
“I had some vision problems so I came to the hospital. They did some tests and decided up to do a complete physical as I am already due for it,” he said. “I will be out for a couple of days,” he added.
Andolong said Lorenzana appeared to have heeded the advice of the doctors for some rest. (Aaron Recuenco)
