Meanwhile, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting has validated about 26,800 or 30.61 percent of the election returns as of yesterday afternoon.
PPCRV national chairperson Myla Villanueva said they have a match rate of about 99.98 percent.
“For me that’s fine. There’s no significant problem,” Villanueva said.
Dr. Arwin Serrano, PPCRV board member, earlier said some discrepancies like typographical errors were encountered during the parallel count. Serrano said this was on the part of the encoders.
The election returns received and validated by the PPCRV came from Lingayen City, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Kalibo, Aklan, Nueva Vizcaya, and Cagayan de Oro City. (Jeffrey Damicog and Minka Tiangco)
