The University of the East will hold a free seminar-workshop for professional development for high school guidance counselors on Friday, May 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., fifth floor, Dr. Lucio C. Tan building, UE Caloocan campus, 105 Samson Road, Caloocan City.
With the theme “Counseling Practice in Light of Emerging Issues and Concerns,” the seminar-workshop, organized by the UE Marketing Department in coordination with the Guidance and Counseling Offices at the UE Manila and Caloocan campuses, will have as resource persons Prof. Roselle S. Basa and Dr. Susana A. Estanislao, who are experts in their fields of professional practice.
A most sought-after lecturer, Estanislao, who is a Registered Guidance Counselor, a Registered Psychologist, and a Counseling Psychologist of In Touch Community Services, will discuss “Identifying and Managing Boundary Issues in Counseling” in the morning session of the seminar.
Basa, UE Compliance Officer for Privacy, Program Coordinator for Information Technology at the Office of Curriculum Development and Instruction of UE, as well as teacher of Information Technology courses at the UE College of Computer Studies and Systems, will discuss “Data Privacy Act (DPA): Its Relevance in Today’s Guidance and Counseling” in the afternoon session.
About 300 invited HSGCs in public and private schools from the National Capital Region, Region 4-A, Camanava area, and Region 3 are expected to participate.
