Expect more rains in the coming days with the gradual shift of the prevailing winds to southwest monsoon or “habagat.”
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the intertropical convergence zone will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao today.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
By tomorrow, PAGASA said a gradual shift of the prevailing wind from the southeast to the southwest will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales.
Throughout the week, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Ilocos region, Zambales, and Bataan.
The State weather bureau expects that the habagat will become the dominant weather system over Luzon by mid-week.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA so far does not see the formation or entry of a tropical cyclone inside the country next week.
