Following the fire that hit Barangay Paltok, Quezon City last June 4, Senator-elect Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go personally provided assistance to the 150 families affected by the tragedy.
Among others, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Department of Trade and Industry, and private entities also provided relief assistance to the victims.
The National Housing Authority was also present to deliver housing assistance to the victims.
Go also proposed aid to those who want to go back to their provinces. He committed to provide school supplies and uniforms for students affected so they can go back to school.
He also offered health assistance to those who are in need of medical attention through the Malasakit Center. Tutulungan po namin kayo,” he said.
