BACOLOD CITY – A six-month-old baby girl was found dead by her parents inside a pail of water mixed with oxalic at Libertad Public Market in Brgy. 40 here early Monday.
Lianna Mae Alora drowned after she fell from a stall, where she was sleeping with her parents.
Capt. Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 6, said the parents didn’t notice that the victim woke up and crawled until she fell on a pail.
Her parents discovered the incident around 2 a.m.
The pail’s content is reportedly used by the victim’s parents for cleaning.
The victim was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. (Glazyl Masculino)
