DAVAO CITY – President Duterte’s children Mayor Sara and Rep. Paolo Duterte here took their oaths of office yesterday.
Mayor Sara, on her second term as city chief executive, was sworn in by Davao City Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Jill Rose Jaugan-Lo inside the session hall of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Mayor Sara was accompanied by her mother Elizabeth and niece Bella.
On the other hand, Mayor Sara’s elder brother Paolo was sworn in by Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 7 Judge Rufino Ferraris Jr. Paolo was accompanied by his wife January and children Uno and Sabina.
The presidential daughter said she will work on making the city 100 percent insurgency free by 2020 and reduce poverty incidence in the city which was 7.8 percent in 2018.
In his speech, the President’s eldest son is hoping to come up with laws that will positively impact the people that will give livelihood, generate jobs, improve the infrastructures, provide education opportunities to less fortunate children and the youth, and bring about sustainable development across sectors, especially in the countryside.
