Five people were injured after a wall at a construction site collapsed Tuesday morning due to overnight rains in Parañaque City.
Victims Filimon Calaglag, 47; Ernesto Temosa, 46; and Raymond Abenoja were rushed to Taguig Pateros District Hospital; while Glenn, 40, and Evelyn Solares, 42, were brought to South Super Highway Medical Center due to body injuries.
According to Barangay San Martin De Porres Executive Officer Domingo Obligar, the ground weakened due to continuous rains overnight causing the wall of RGM construction to collapse.
Abenoja said they ignored the ground shaking since the train of the Philippine National Railways would often pass by the area at 6 a.m.
He added that they were taking a rest when the ground began to loosen. (Dhel Nazario)
