ALDEN Richards is one of the few GMA-7 stars who have been able to defy the so-called network wars, appearing on a film produced by ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema, “Hello, Love, Goodbye” alongside leading lady Kathryn Bernardo.
Of course, promotional activities would not be complete without him setting foot in the compound of the network giant.
On Tuesday, Alden finally visited the Kapamilya office as accompanied by no less than Kathryn.
“Welcome to ABS-CBN,” she told him as seen on a Facebook Live post.
In an ABS-CBN News article, Alden said that while it wasn’t his first time to visit ABS-CBN, the experience still felt “surreal.”
“Medyo surreal na nandito ako ngayon. Nandito kami ni Kath to shoot mga video plugs and ‘yung mga digital shoot,” he said.
Kathryn then brought his leading man to the Star Cinema office and have themselves blessed by a priest. They also prayed for the success of their first big screen project.
Afterwards, the two had a photo op and intimate lunch with Star Cinema Managing Director Olivia M. Lamasan. Then Alden met with ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak and ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez.
In the teaser released early this month, Kathryn and Alden’s characters were unveiled. As Joy, Kathryn appears to be a helper of sorts, while Alden as Ethan is a bartender.
The project, which was shot in Hong Kong, is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
“Hello, Love, Goodbye” is slated for a July 31 release. (REGS PARUNGAO)
