ARE there days when you wake up, you do not feel like going to work?
You just want to stay at your house and do nothing at all. Believe me, I also have experienced it many times.
You may be wondering or even wanting to ask me, “Chinkee, what motivates you every single day?”
“What is it that inspires you to keep on doing what you do?”n “How can you keep up with all the demands of your work commitments, and still keep a positive attitude?”
Whether we like it or not, we need to be motivated every single day. It can be so hard to move on in life if you are not motivated or even inspired. Motivation can be a powerful tool to success in life.
So what are the things that motivate me?
Let me share to you the things in my life that inspire me to do what I do.
First, MY FAMILY
My No. 1 motivation is my family. They are the reason why I am doing what I am doing.
I love my family. I love my wife. I love my kids. They are my source of inspiration.
Second, WHENICANENCOURAGEOTHERS
I love encouraging people like you. What I do can really be taxing, but people like you inspire me to go on.
It inspires me when I am able to motivate other people who are searching for inspiration and motivation themselves. No amount of money can compensate for the fulfillment I receive every single day from encouraging comments.
When people say that they have been inspired by my talks or my blogs and are challenged to become a better person, it continues to motivate me.
Third, WHENISPEAK
I love speaking. Speaking almost every single day can be physically demanding, but you know what, when I speak in front of others I get so energized! I feed on the energy of people.
So when I see people in the audience responding well, I get so motivated to continue to give out more.
Fourth, WHENIWRITE
You probably know by now that I write every day. I love to write (hindi ba obvious?). I write on my Facebook account and my blog every single day. Writing to communicate and inspire people to become a better version of themselves, that motivates me.
Fifth, WHENISEETRANSFORMATIONINOTHERPEOPLE’SLIVES
I really get motivated when I see people’s lives change from being in debt to becoming debt-free, from being financially illiterate to becoming financially literate, from being fearful of starting a business to become a successful business person. I want to see people become better and fulfilling their dreams.
Finally, how am I able to do all these? How do I stay motivated? Well, you have to find something that you love to do in life, and then just do it. You will be surprised to find yourself enjoying what you do simply because you love it. Because I love what I do, it isn’t important whether I get paid or not, as long as I do it because it is what I love.
So, be motivated, stay motivated and motivate others.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
How about what you? What motivates you? Do you have a compelling reason to motivate you and help you face your daily challenges in life?
