A lone bettor won the P44,415,837.20 jackpot in the Lotto 6/42 draw last Thursday.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office said the winning combination was 19-31-28-20-16-3.
The winning ticket was purchased in a lotto outlet in Pulilan, Bulacan.
Forty-eight bettors will get P15, 800 each for getting five out of the six winning numbers.
Because of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act, a 20 percent tax will be imposed on the jackpot. Therefore, the winner will get P35,532,669.76 and the government P8,883,167.44 in taxes.
To claim the jackpot, the winner must go to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City and present two valid IDs.
Lawyer Marissa Medrano, PCSO spokesperson, urged the public to keep on patronizing PCSO products. A large chunk of the agency’s revenues goes to charity. (Jel Santos)
