3:30 p.m. — Air Force vs Mendiola
Unbeaten Kaya-Iloilo looks to make it six wins in a row when it takes on Green Archers United today in the Philippines Football League at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
Kaya plays Green Archers at 3:30 p.m. as it attempts to stay on top of the table after winning all of its first five matches for 15 points.
The defending Copa Paulino Alcantara winners enter the contest with the psychological edge after beating Green Archers, 5-1, in last month’s season-opener at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Defending two-time champion Ceres-Negros tries to stay within earshot of Kaya as it visits Stallion-Laguna in a similar 3:30 p.m. start at the Binan Football Stadium.
Ceres was held to a 2-2 draw by Stallion during their first meeting last month.
The Busmen have since won their next four games to climb to second with 13 points while the Horsemen are in third with 11 points.
Struggling teams Mendiola and Air Force meet in Sunday’s lone game in Binan at 3:30 p.m.
The two sides have only produced one point each in their return stint to top-flight competition, but a win may provide them a ray of hope moving forward.
Air Force and Mendiola battled to a 1-1 tie last June 9 in Carmona.
