Malacañang is praying for the good health of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio amid reports she went on a two-month medical leave.
“We can only pray for her safety and or recovery from whatever illness that she is presently suffering,” presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo said yesterday.
“Baka tungkol na naman doon sa kanyang – hindi ba usually kapag manganganak siya nagkakaroon siya ng medical condition,” he added.
The President’s daughter is expected to skip the fourth State-of-the-Nation Address on Monday due to a medical leave. She reportedly went on medical leave for 60 days due to a gynecological condition.
While hoping for Mayor Sara’s good health, Panelo said she might undergo a regular medical check-up. “Kung meron mang sakit ‘di, we will have to pray for her,” she said. (Genalyn Kabiling)
