Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso ordered the relief of Plaza Miranda Police Community Precinct (PCP) commander after he saw Carriedo Street full of garbage and vendors’ tents during an unannounced roving inspection early Wednesday morning.
Domagoso, who roamed the streets of Manila at around 1:00 a.m., saw the piles of garbage and blue tents of vendors along Carriedo Street.
“Wala ng daan eh, paano pati sa gitna ng kalye e, basura, vendor. Ay nako ah,” Moreno said on his Facebook Live while talking to his driver.
“Sino nga ‘yung major dito? Sinong commander dito? Ipa-relieve ‘yan bukas ah. Sinasabi ko na eh,” he added.
The commander of Plaza Miranda PCP is Chief Inspector Leandro Gutierrez.
The mayor earlier ordered the relief of the Lawton Police Precinct chief after finding Bonifacio Shrine was littered with human waste.
Nine members of the Manila Police District were also relieved for allegedly extorting money from illegal vendors. (Erma Edera)
