Nazareth School of National University continued its dominance and clobbered Malaysia, 118-62, on Monday in the 2019 ASEAN School Games at the GOR Sahabat in Semarang, Indonesia.
Terrence Fortea sizzled behind the arc as he drained five triples to finish with 27 points in steering the Bullpups to their second victory following an 87-47 rout of Indonesia over the weekend.
Playing for only 23 minutes, Fortea also collared seven rebounds and dished off three steals as the Nationals intensified their bid for back-to-back crowns.
Nap Tulabut also stepped up for Team Philippines by pouring 20 points, hauling six rebounds and making four steals while big men Carl Tamayo and Aaron Buensalida flexed their muscles and combined for 26 points and 14 boards.
NU, being backed by Freego’s Eduard Tio, earned the right to represent the country for the second straight year after topping the Davao Palarong Pambansa.
The Bullpups are also the reigning UAAP champions.
