Hello Sexy Mind,
Obese ako nung bata ako until high school. Since college, I have been maintaining a running lifestyle and almost everyday akong tumatakbo for the past 10 years except na lang pag medyo may sakit ako. Even if umuulan, I go to the gym just to run. This helped me a lot in terms of my physical health and confidence na rin.
My problem is that me and my husband of one year are already planning to start a family. I was wondering kung kailangan ko bang tumigil tumakbo or ano ba ang puwede kong gawin while I am pregnant kung sakali.
Thank you,
Competitive Runner
Hi Competitive Runner,
It is very inspiring how you were able to take control of your health and lifestyle. It does help you psychologically when you look and feel better to yourself.
Popular din ang course na kinuha mo in achieving better health in running. A lot of people are doing that now for recreation and health purposes.
Congratulations too for your decision to start a family. It’s another great stage in your married life and I know that you will prepare for it. Good luck.
Especially that you have been running for the past decade, maganda naman na i-maintain ang level of physical activity even through pregnancy. Although siyempre, kailangan itong magkaroon ng variations sa mga nakagawian mo ngayon. The usual length that is recommended to pregnant women is 150 minutes per week.
Puwedeng i-rekomenda ng iyong doctor to slow down and walk or to even trim down the distance or time that you run daily. Magiging depende din ito sa status ng iyong pregnancy and health and development of your baby. Regular consultations and check ups with your physician ang kailangan for this.
Constant communication with your doctor will help you plan on how to transition from your current level of physical activity once you get pregnant. Good luck again and I wish you the best with your future baby runner.
With Love and Lust,
Rica
