Kaya-Iloilo draw level with league-leading Ceres-Negros while Air Force finally scored its first victory in the Philippines Football League over the weekend.
First half goals from Connor Tacagni and Ghanian striker Jordan Mintah helped propel Kaya to a 5-0 drubbing of Mendiola FC 1991 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
The win put Iloilo even with Ceres at 22 points but remains in second place on goal difference.
Air Force downed Global-Makati, 3-2, at the Binan Football Stadium in Laguna to end a dryspell after drawing once and lost eight to start the league season.
Darl Pedroso and Mark Anthony Ferrer scored in the first half before Rodolf Bebanco struck a third during injury time as the Airmen overtake Global for sixth place with four points.
The weekend’s other match saw Stallion-Laguna and Green Archers United settling for a scoreless draw in Binan.
