The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) was recognized as this year’s best police district in Metro Manila during the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Police Service Anniversary celebration on Tuesday.
QCPD director Brigadier General Joselito Esquivel Jr. received the award during the 118th anniversary celebration of the NCRPO held in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde attended the event.
Apart from the Best Police District award, the QCPD also bagged other unit awards including the Highest Performance Rating, Most Number of Surrenderers, Most Number of Arrested Violators of City Ordinance, Best District Mobile Force Battalion, and Best District for Accomplishment in Project Double Barrel.
QCPD’s Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) emerged as the Best Numbered Police Station for Accomplishment in Project District Level while Fairview Police Station’s (PS-5) Police Community Precinct-2 (PCP-2) was awarded as the Best PCP.
Meanwhile, Police Colonel Arthur Bisnar was named the Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation; Police Major Sandie Caparroso from Batasan Police Station (PS-6) as the Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation; Police Executive Master Sergeant Jose Amy Yerro from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) as the Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operation; Police Corporal Alvin Tarectecan from Tactical Motorized Unit (TMU) as the Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operation; Police Chief Master Seargent Edmundo Agana Jr. from Anonas Police Station (PS-9) as the Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration; and Police Staff Sergeant Ronallee Santos from Masambong Police Station (PS-2) as the Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration.
In a message, the QCPD chief applauded his men and thanked them for working hard and putting efforts in their operations to maintain Quezon City a safe city. (Alexandria San Juan)
