More than P1.3-million worth of suspected shabu was seized from two construction workers in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City last Friday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region identified the suspects as Louie Clutario, 39, and Garry Navarro, 40, residents of Barangays Payatas and Commonwealth in Quezon City.
The two men were known illegal drug peddlers in their area, prompting PDEA personnel to conduct a drug sting against them.
An undercover PDEA agent posed as a buyer and transacted with the duo on Ilang-Ilang corner Dahlia Streets in Barangay Payatas A around 6 p.m.
The suspects were arrested after they sold shabu to the poseur-buyer.
Seized from them were two plastic packs containing white substance suspected to be shabu weighing at least 200 grams worth P1.3 million, a mobile phone used in their transactions, and the buy-bust money.
Suspects are now under custody of PDEA while charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (Alexandria San Juan)
