Far Eastern University took advantage of Arellano University’s sloppy plays to post a 25-13, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20 triumph on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Lady Tamaraws got 39 points off the Lady Chiefs’ errors en route to their second win in three games in Pool B.
FEU’s victory also gave Arellano its first defeat after back-to-back triumphs over Technological Institute of the Philippines and Lyceum despite the efforts of Necole Ebuen and Nicole Sasuman, who combined for 27 points.
Shiela Kiseo bannered the Lady Tamaraws with 15 points including 13 kills while Ivana Agudo chipped in 12 points highlighted by five aces.
Maria Angelica Cayuna also stepped up with 26 excellent sets on top of six points.
Meanwhile, College of St. Benilde forged a three-way tie on top of Pool B with a 25-19, 25-12, 25-17 drubbing of Lyceum.
Setter Jewel Lai distributed the ball well with most players scoring for St. Benilde.
Klarisa Abriam led the Lady Blazers with 12 points while Michelle Gamit and Gayle Pascual merging for 17 points.
Lyceum slipped to its third straight defeat with no player scoring in double figures.
