Police and members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested three persons, including a female overseas worker, and confiscated some P3.4 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig City, Saturday afternoon.
Police identified the suspects as Joel Undong, 30, tricycle driver, of Maharlika Village , Taguig City; Zainab Pamansag, 27,an OFW, of Inramuros, Manila; and Aiza Abdul, 29, of Culiat, Quezon City.
Based on the report of Taguig City police, the three suspects were arrested at about 2:30 p.m. at FTI Terminal Arca South, Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
Taguig City police said that prior to the arrest, members of PDEA and Quezon City cops coordinated with them for an entrapment operation against the three.
A policeman-posuer buyer later managed to buy one-and-a half kilo of shabu worth P1million from the suspects. This led to their arrest.
Police recovered from trio 10 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 500 grams with a street value of P3.4-million.
The suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) before the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office. (Jean Fernando)
