BAD news for Baron Geisler.
The Royal Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo is denouncing his being a Datu of Sulu as conferred by the royal family of King Raja Mohammadmamay Hasan Abdurajak and Queen Maria Makiling Helen Fatima Nasaria Panolino Abdurajak of the Royal Imperial Lupah Sug Islamic United Kingdom of Sulu & North Borneo.
In a statement published on Facebook, Wednesday, the Royal House of Sulu’s Chancellery claimed the title has no basis as it was done by “false pretenders” not recognized by the Philippine government, even adding they are “commoners with no royal blood.”
It said it was addressing the issue in behalf of His Royal Majesty Paduka Masahari Al-Maulana Ampun Sultan Hadji Muedzul-Lail Tan Kiram ibni Almarhum Sultan Mohammad Mahakuttah Abdulla Kiram, the 35th Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo who is recognized by the Philippine government under Memorandum Order No. 427 issued on May 10, 1974.
In his, “Royal Appointment and Recognition” certificate, Baron is tagged “His Excellency Datu Baron Frederick von Geisler, Royal Datu and Ambassador for Peace and Prosperity.”
The couple who conferred the title said the once-troubled man has been an inspiration to youth following his spiritual change.
After the “ceremony” Baron said: “It’s like parang ikinasal po ako sa obligations na kailangan kong gawin. It’s a marriage na kailangan mong i-nurture at seryosohin. At kailangan ko ring mahalin. And I love doing service work. So, I’m very grateful.”
Neither the couple nor Baron has addressed the issue as of press time. (REGS PARUNGAO)
