A policeman, his wife, and five suspected drug personalities were arrested in a buy-bust operation in an alleged drug den in Taguig City Friday.
Police identified the suspects as Police Chief Master Sgt. Rahid Sanguan, 46, of the Philippine National Police-Police Security and Protection Group, his wife Normina, Alfonso Obejas, 42; Ernie Legaspi, 32; Joseph Denjuan, 48; Ronnie Mark SueƱo, 29, and Nasrodin Ayob, 39.
Police Major Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, National Capital Region Police Office director, said that the Taguig police anti-narcotics unit received information that Sanguan was allegedly supplying illegal drugs in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig.
Police conducted a buy-bust operation against Normina at their house on VP Cruz St., Barangay Lower Bicutan, which, Eleazar said, was being used as a drug den.
Sanguan and his wife were collared after selling suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Five men were caught using illegal drugs and were arrested.
The suspects, except Rahid, tested positive for drug use in a medical examination, Eleazar said. (Joseph Pedrajas)
