The Philippines will experience generally fair weather with chances of localized thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon or evening, in the next few days.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz said the low-pressure area east of the country still has no direct effect over the country.
As of yesterday morning, the LPA was estimated at 640 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora or 715 kms east-northeast of Infanta, Quezon.
It is also less likely to develop into a tropical depression.
Dela Cruz said localized thunderstorms will be the prevailing weather system over the whole country.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
However, the public should remain vigilant for possible flash flooding over low-lying areas or landslides over mountainous areas during severe thunderstorms. (Ellalyn V. Ruiz)
